Kenya Lionesses' forward Victoria Reynolds is in Kenya where she is preparing to join the national women's basketball team for Women's AfroBasket Qualifiers camp and has taken time to give back to the basketball community in the country.
The now Rwanda Energy Group (REG) player who propelled Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) to their best finish on the African front, finishing second in 2023 at the Africa Women's Basketball League (AWBL/now WBLA) has made a first year's start to university life amazing.
"The game is bigger than just playing basketball because time has evolved and now players who have successfully grown through the game are now giving back. @victhehalfrikan decided to support a young basketball player from @fareast_basketball joining university after acquiring a scholarship at one of the universities in kenya buy buying her hostel essentials for her university journey (sic)," tashaaluv.foundation announced on Instagram.
Few days before, the foundation had announced that the Lionesses' ace had taken time to visit young girls who recently finished high school with the words of encouragement and mentorship on their budding basketball careers.
"This is talent converted to value," the foundation, using sport as a tool for change, wrote on Instagram, "We would also like to thank @hustlehardglobal for the great merchendise and also putting in alot of good work in basketball community, we value your efforts. Not forgetting @fareast_basketball #for the great consistency in using basketball as tool to change lives (sic)."
